Reinsurance
Our attorneys have litigated and arbitrated disputes in all principal
areas of reinsurance law. We are familiar with all the major reinsurers
and brokers; in addition to advocating on behalf of reinsurers or cedents,
we have also been called upon to informally moderate disputes
between them. On the litigation and arbitration front, our involvement
in reinsurance stemmed initially from our endeavors in satellite
cases, where issues of follow-the-settlements and allocation of losses
have become increasingly contentious. We have also handled a number
of disputes arising in the toxic tort context.
